Chraals are closing in around Ryld. He bravely takes down the one on the right, but the deathburst kills him and the remaining Samurai. Good Game, Mike! (click to enlarge)
I really can't believe I won. This is pretty crazy! (click to enlarge)
Mike and I discuss how he might have moved Ryld before making that critical morale check on the Orc Champ. It could easily have swung the game the other way. (click to enlarge)

The trophies look really, really cool. Can't wait to try out the Balor in combat!
To end the game, Ryld brought down one of my Chraals, and the deathburst killed him and the Samurai. Mike shrugged, smiled, and shook my hand. Final Record: 9-1

I was unprepared for the volume of clapping, and the camera flashes going off, and the people patting me on the back. It felt like there were fifty people around the table, all smiling at me, although it must have been less. I'm not accustomed to being the center of that much attention!

But it feels great to have won, and I'm hoping to be a positive influence on the community during my tenure as champ. I plan on doing what I can to grow the game over the next year.

Special thanks once again to the man who took all these pictures (except this one), Chad the DragonLord!
