THE CLASSES IN SUHNDI:

SORCERERS

Because Sorcerers do not study to attain their abilities, being from the Suhndi
culture does not affect their abilities. But because the culture reveres order,
their more chaotic means of developing their power will mean they often feel more
ostracized growing up than other parts of the world. In times of religious hysteria,
Sorcerer children have been burned at the stake. Once older and more powerful,
they sometimes are respected by the wizards for their ease with Illusion and
Transmutation.

FIGHTERS

Fighters trained at the Suhndi war academies must choose at first level the feat
Weapon Focus in one of the following: Falchion, Scimitar, Kukri or Bolas.
However upon graduation (before adventuring) they are given this weapon for free,
a gift from the Caliph.

In return they are expected to obey Salaman and the clerics of Salaman. Any
reported failure to do so can bring dramatic consequnces.

MONKS

Monks among the Suhndi are rare, their "blasphemous" monasteries low-profile. The
monasteries are found in Niterra and Shialaria--and perhaps elsewhere. The monks
always are Kahwan Suhndi, and each monastery has its own Saint. Sometimes these
Saints are living people, sometimes they have moved on to the next world. The
abilities of the monk are not changed by Suhndi culture--just the way the monk
is viewed.

ROGUES

Also keep a low profile among the Suhndi. Sinners from head to toe, they're just
lucky so many Suhndi townsfolk are so niaeve as to fail to recognize them for being
as shady as they are. Often they will be seen as simply misguided souls who need
some preachin'--and often a Rogue will play along until a moment when he can
slip away unnoticed. Then he might well head to the same places certain bards
frequent…

BARDS

Some bards are pious singers of songs that praise Salaman, and often these bards
are hired to sing in temples and even for the Caliph. Other bards, of shadier
alignment, know the words to those songs too--but know the backrooms where men
secretly gamble, the black markets where money is thrown around freely, and the
harem houses where women perform forbidden dances behind veils of illegal transparency.

Bards and rogues are more hip to the hidden and even "criminal" hypocrisy of Suhndi
civilization than most other classes.
